DIY Hair Mask For Gorgeous Cabello

Hair masks are usually not on top of everyone’s to-do list and certainly not in everyone’s budget.

The same way we take care of our face and body with spa treatments, we can’t forget about our hair either. Once in a while our hair needs a little TLC as well, trust me your hair will thank you.

Here’s a DIY hair mask from abuelita with ingredients that you can find in your kitchen. This mask is a mix of a ripe avocado, olive oil and mayonnaise. I use this mask once a week and it leaves my hair with a natural shine while also strengthening it.

The first step is to cut 3 slices of avocado and chop it up into pieces. Avocado has vitamin A, E, D, B6 and a lot of protein that nourishes the hair.

For healthy hair you have to hydrate your roots so mayonnaise is a key ingredient. Add a spoonful of mayonnaise in this recipe, its natural oils also works well if your hair is chemically processed. It protects the hair so it doesn’t break and leaves it shiny.

The next step is to take a spoonful of olive oil. Olive oil moisturizes and makes your hair grow. You can even use it alone and massage it into your scalp if you want to keep it simple.

Once all the ingredients are in the blender, I add a little bit of water just so it can loosen up and form a paste.

When the paste is finished, I then wet my hair and apply it throughout my hair. As I’m doing this, I’m massaging it into my scalp and my ends. Then I let the hair mask sit in my hair for 20 minutes under the dryer so it can penetrate into my hair. Finish the treatment by rinsing your hair and wash as you normally would.

Here’s a photo of my hair before the treatment and after.

My hair was just blown out and that is the natural shine from the mask. It was so soft and my blow out lasted all week. I use this treatment once a week and it’s the best and easiest way to get beautiful and healthy hair.
