My New York Fashion Week Street Style Photoshoot With Tresemmé

During New York Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to have my hair styled by Marco Peña, a Miami-based celebrity hairstylist for Tresemmé.

Marco Peña has worked on celebrities like Alejandra EspinozaAdamari LópezShakira and more. So of course I was excited to go to the styling session and do a photo shoot too! The day before the styling session I was a hair model for Peña on NY1 Noticias. Braids are always on trend and what Peña did on me was three braids in one similar to what we’ve seen on Kim Kardashian recently. I’m all about braids but this was a new look for me and I was completely obsessed with it. It was edgy, fun and a nice way to switch up my usual side braid.

For the photo shoot, Marco undid my braids and curled each strand with a 1/2 inch curling iron, leaving the ends be. He finished with Tresemmé Botanique Damage Recovery Oil Elixir for added shine and hairspray. The hair oil has macadamia oil, avocado oil, and has no parabens or dyes. You can use it on damp and dry hair, plus it doesn’t weigh it down. It’s my fave hair product right now and it smells amazing!

Once Peña was done with my hair, it was time for the photo shoot! Since it was New York Fashion Week and it was street style inspired, I decided to rock a chic NYC look. By the way, it was also freezing so I definitely threw on my fur coat. Outfit details below.

Check out the amazing photos from the shoot. All photographs were taken by Photographer Nico. Let me know what you think of my look in the comments. Thanks!

Bonus! Update your ponytail with Marco Peña’s how-to straight from the runway. Here’s a step-by-step guide on getting a voluminous pony at home. It’s really easy and regardless if you’re doing a high or low ponytail, Peña definitely suggests pumping up the volume!
